Tortilla Pie with Beans, Vegetables and Cacao

Hey There! 🙂 I don’t know how about You, but I am hungry! 🙂

Recently I had a pack of tortillas, and wondered what vegan and tasty I could do with them. I wanted something different, special. With vegetables and vegan protein. Filling but still healthy.

After the shower of few ideas, here I came up with an amazing tortila pie! 🙂

A pie is formed  by spreading the vegan filling on tortilla sheets (putting in layers).

For a vegan filling I used:

Aprx. 400 g. beans

2 peeled tomatoes

2 tbsp of natural tomatoes  sauce

150 g. carrots

1/2 onion

1/3 of pores

A little bit of champignons or egg-plant

Salt

Pepper

Paprika and chili spices

A little bit of cocoa (optional)

Oil for baking

The process is easy – to put chopped ingredients in a well-heated pan to fry.

Firstly I put onion and grated carrots to fry. Then enrich with  paprika,  pores, continue to fry,  put some champignons or egg-plant, add chopped tomatoes.

Make it even better with tomatoes sauce and spices and even cacao (if You like unusual tastes)

Then it s the time for the most filling part – boiled and a little bit ground beans to stick well with the rest of ingredients in the pan.

If You don t want to use a lot of fat, add more water instead and stew. Few minutes more and the filling will be ready to form a pie (tortilla sheet – filling,  tortilla sheet – filling).

When the pie is ready, we need to squeeze it a bit and put in a cool place for few hours. Already impatient to see what happens! 🙂

Let’s enjoy and gladden each other!

Up with a Move!

Staying focused. In Control. Yet ready to let the difficult boundaries, flaws and worries go. Time to come out of Your shell. You’ ve probably been there for long and safely. I know it happens, but now it’s time to let Your personality pearl shine!

Get ready. Maybe You just got up in Your bedroom. Ok then 🙂 Close Your eyes for a moment. Put on some relaxing music (probably no one is seeing You right  now). Breathe in some fresh air. Don’ t think about the  audience. You don’t need it now!

Acknowledge. Your body warmth, heartbeat, emotion. How do You feel? Maybe You want to talk out the unspoken. Let the frustration, fear go? Let it go. Or simply to put Your hands for prayer and  sit in silence for few minutes? Give it some time, unwind.

Express. You might be willing to sit on the floor and hug Your knees. Lay helplessly on the ground, or, on the contrary,  dance some nice dance  of gratitude? You might be also willing to do something unexpected – to take off Your socks and walk barefoot to look through the window. Don’t stop Yourself… Who knows, maybe You will see something truly beautiful and relevant out there?

Illuminate.  If You are ready, carry out a self reflective act to discover and deal with subconscious emotions. Understand the meaning of your movements. Trust and recognize the impulses.  They are guiding You right. If You are laying helplessly on the ground, You probably need to be lifted up – someone or something that inspires and uplifts You.

Evaluate. Stay silent and ready to accept the truth about Yourself even if it is uncomfortable… Because there, the healing process begins.

Jump up high!  It s good, even if You don’t feel like You are ready now or You can at all.. Show Your effort to feel stronger, happier and more worthy (yes, You are VERY worthy!). By doing so, You will admit to Yourself You don’ t give up and  will let Your potential out. The spontaneous motion You are going to be involved in will help to unpack what s necessary but hidden  – the true, natural, and real You! 🙂

Involve and listen. Come and shine! Jump and surprise!

To rebuild the Walls of tiny Dandelion Home

Hundreds of times in life she just stopped. ,,It s enough, God, I am broken. How can You restore the building if it’ s from the very basement broken, with holes and slots? My whole life is broken. It has been like that always:  my personality, contact with other people, with the world… Very often I say “Yes” when I feel like “No” and “No” when I want to laugh out loud “Yes!”. Very often I am not very honest with myself, and even You, Lord. I don’ t understand Your signs. I am tired”.

She sipped a big sip of herbal tea and suddenly fell asleep in her room… Widely open window was lit by starry night. With eyes tightly closed for the night, she gently whispered  “Yes” and… turned into a tiny dandelion fluff.

The journey started in time – many years back to the little house. It reminded of Nazareth, where little Mary once lived, prayed and heard the Word….There she saw bright and lovely Angels lifting up the Walls of a building.

The Angels asked dandelion fluff:

,,Do You want to join us”?

,,Where are You going? I am tiny and weak…”, – I don’t know if I can be helpful..

,,You don’t need to try to be helpful”, – they looked at her and smiled, -,,Just come with us”.

,,Okay”,  – surprisingly she said.

They travelled long distances through green and frosted valleys, rivers, mountains, fountains, waterfalls, cities, seas..

,,I can’t go anymore, I am so tired…” sighed tiny dandelion fluff.

,,Come rest on my wings”, – said one of the angels.

She willingly rested on his wings, a little bit disappointed:

,,How much more to travel?” – she asked already impatient.

,,Soon. Have a little bit patience”, – they said.

,,Why are You carrying those walls?? They are so heavy!”, – she asked.

,,How do You know? You don’t carry them. They are light indeed. For their message is Light”.

,,I don’t  understand”, – she complained.

,,Shhhhh…hush up, little dandelion”, – Angels asked. – ,,Look, we are taking the Walls in the safe place, where the Home will be in Honor and Love”.

,,I want such home as well!” – screamed out tiny dandelion.

,,Do You really want?”

,,Definitely, Yes!”

,,Let it be as You wish”, – the Angel hovered with big soft ticklish wings, blew on her and whispered:

,,Pray for Mary and Her home”

,,Wait!” – she screamed, – ,,You need to tell me!”

Sweating and pulsing she woke up in her room. Breaking dawn was touching  Her face through the widely  open window.

She began with a prayer: “Thank You, my Mother Mary, for the Love Journey and Walls”. She felt peaceful and calm, ready to start restoring the base and the walls…

                                                                                   …

She just had a call. Talked with a spiritual guide and was invited to a Church Choir.

She repented, forgave and gently let the past go with new base and walls in front…

7 Words of Virgin Mary guiding me before upfront Decisions

  • ,,How this can be if I don t know a man”? (Luke 1:34) When Angel Gabriel manifested to the Virgin Mary and said that she will give a birth to the son and will name him Jesus, Mary was confused. However,  She wasn’ t afraid to ask questions. She was willing to fully know and understand God’s will. She was humble and fearful, because she wanted what Lord wanted for her.

Everytime I am fearful or doubt, oh, Mother Mary, let me come in the dialogue with God.

  • ,,I am the Lord’s Servant, may Your word to me be fulfilled” (Luke 1:38). – she said. She was obedient. She stepped aside from any humanish planning, and said ,,Yes” to His will. Sometimes it is hard to say that firm ,,Yes” because we have our own life plan, understanding, leading solutions… Mary’s obedience was mostly walking unwalked paths, in the darkness, not knowing what’s further… But as He asked Her, she surrendered and was gifted with the Biggest Grace  – Motherhood of the Lord Jesus.

When the new day starts, let me begin: ,,I am the Lord’s Servant, may Your Word to me be fulfilled”.

  • ,,Mary entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth“ (Luke 1:40) Two women were sharing fulfilling joy about what good the Lord has done to them (not what bad people have done to them) Sharing joy in Holy Spirit makes the meeting meaningful and uplifting. The gift of sharing is universal.

Everytime I enter new home, new encounter I want to be like Mary and Elizabeth – share the joy about what good the Lord has done to me (not what bad  people have done to me)

  • And Mary joyfully said,
    “My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for God has looked with favor on the lowliness of the Almighty’s servant.
    Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
    and holy is God’s name.
God’s mercy is for those who fear God
    from generation to generation.
    God has shown strength with God’s arm;
God has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
God has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
    and lifted up the lowly;
God has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty.
    God has helped servant Israel,
    in remembrance of God’s mercy,
according to the promise God made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever.  (Luke 1:46-55)

How grateful  Mary is , how grateful  we can be, for each of ours gifts and blessings – there s so much words unspoken! The modest Lord’s Servant Mary is giving the example.

Let me often praise You, Lord, with Magnificat, just like Mary did!

  • “When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this!? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”  (Luke 2:48) Those are the most sorrowful words of Mary. Mary feels pain because the Son, the Saviour given to Her suddenly dissapeared. Mary kept the answer of the Son Jesus silently in Her heart and was quietly considering.

Whenever I am tempted to surrender in pain, give me, Mother Mary, wisdom to know that for everything is divine timing and I will be given understanding and support.

  • ,,They have no wine” (John 2:3) – said Mary in a wedding ceremony in Cannes when all  the wine was gone. She was the first to notice the lack then,  she does the same in my life now – sees the lack and tells Her Son, that I would be supported. Wine is the symbol of Love. She cares about this most important supply, she is concerned I would always have it.

Everytime I don t have Wine of Love, oh, Mother  Mary, tell Your Son to fill me with It.

  • “Do whatever he tells you,”(John 2:5) – she told the servants in the wedding. She was obedient till the end. She was the first Follower and Apostle of Jesus. She knew that there is a meaning in everything her son is doing. Mary’s life from the very beginning was different, exceptional. She is a model proving Lord’s miracles through a complete trust and obedience. Those last Mary’s words is the Testament to all of us: to do, what He [Jesus] is telling us. She paved for us the path of Love, Holiness and Peace, pointing out to Her Son, our Saviour.

Everytime I am tempted to feel angry, disappointed, lost and abandoned, I ll ask her for hope. Come, oh, Mother Mary, give me to hold Your Son. Let me be as loving, peaceful, calm and trusting as You are.

Humble Journey through Advent with Novenas

,,If I knew, that tomorrow will be the last day of the world, I would still plant a tree“, – Such words once said the father of reformation Martin Luther.

Such attitude doesn’t cause neither hysteria nor fear about the future, as it states, it is more perfect than the presence. Still,  the reminder of the Last Judgement day encourages to  re-evaulate the values, make  a decission  and take a wise action. Jesus Christ in multiple comparisons said The Gospel about the New World as already existing and yet  coming Reality.

How about my life? What is my reality? Do I ever just stop for a moment and think that this presesence is the Hope, in which lies the the future of all mankind? What is my input in it? Am I conscious enough to admit that I consume too much, work too much, rush too much? And too little pray, repent, forgive?

Revelation 3:20, NIV: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Let‘ s be on duty. Coming Lord is yearning to come in our hearts, in our lives. How can we acknowledge him coming  if we are rushing, arguing, constantly consuming? There is so much pain around, world is tired…

For a hope giving and uplifting duty, I highly recommend an Pray More Novenas and Advent Retreat. Pray More Novenas was created to help you pray by sending you each novena prayer for 9 days.
